The ditch on Huckleberry was groomed Saturday when we rode.

The ditch just south of trout lake on the side of M-123 was groomed previous seasons, but I see a new sign was installed this past year which blocks the groomer's path. That is also a very wet area and the groomer has gotten stuck there in the past. The shoulder from Yogi's down to the new sign is still being groomed.

Thank buddy! However I was talking about the ditch that is west of Ozark on the south side of Huckleberry. I did see the sign you’re talking about heading into Trout Lake, just wondering if there is another option. Just trying to look for options on keeping our trails the nicest, safest and most picturesque, without popping out on the road.

I love our trails!

Pat

Pat

I don't think that was ever a Straits Area Trail - TASA may have come up that ditch in the past. We typically avoid that run along the tracks. It does not get to a GOOD condition very often in my experience.

Yeah to the west is groomed by TASA. They have groomed the ditch in the past, but maybe there was not enough snow for them to feel comfortable grooming it this year.

In general TASA has been neglecting the south trail. It was pretty rough Saturday when we rode from Cut River around to Rexton and then to the Caffey.

We rode it Sunday, it was ok but bumps in some areas. Honestly, I love that trail. Itís the best route from west to The Buckhorn or heading to Iggy.

Thanks for answering questions Todd, you are correct on your information.

Pat, the swamp trail you are talking about is usually in poor condition, so it is longer, but quicker to drop down on teh Caffey and then up the truck trail.
