Default Weather Conditions 10-05-18

Just thought I would toss this out there:
NWS posted pics in Marquette this morning of 2-3" of wet snow on the cars and grass areas. Reports of flurries overnight on Mackinac Island. BUT if I didn't see it, I guess it didn't happen. We will need 45-60 days of fall up here before mother nature can convert the season.

I haven't been North of town in a couple of weeks. In town (which is usually behind North of here) they are turning good. 15min downstate they are probably close to peak.

Not sure if you can believe these:

You can also go to MDOT's midrive map and click on the highway cams to see what things look like:

My neighbor took this pick behind the Buckhorn Bar in Wetmore yesterday.

Trees have definatly turned here.

Calling for snow this afternoon, and this weeks temps are pretty cool. Lots of winds too.

We had over 7" of rain last week, which washed out the RR grade in 2 places North of Moran.

Hoping for a few weeks of decent weather before the snow flies.

Weather update.
Last night there was a 100% chance of rain today. This morning, lake effect rain & the first snow in the air, with enough to get a trace on the roof & car. But right now, 100% blue sky.

This fall is just messing with us.

Wow, looks like the woods will be very wet this year.
